SOARING SOULS

Honor Our Heroes

My mission

I initiated this “photolanthropy” project to raise awareness and funds for athletes with intellectual and physical disabilities. This project takes the form of two charity photography exhibitions that take place at The Hotchkiss School in Connecticut (April 2023) and The Peak Galleria Mall in Hong Kong (July 2023). I have been soliciting donations that go towards Special Olympics Connecticut, Special Olympics Hong Kong, and Hong Kong Paralympic Committee. My mission is to raise funds to support these three organizations’ ongoing programs and operations, with the ultimate goal of creating a sustainable and positive impact for the athletes and the organizations that have inspired me tremendously.

Who AM I

I am Quisha Lee, a Senior at The Hotchkiss School in Connecticut, USA. Born and raised in Hong Kong, I have been surrounded by communities that pursue philanthropy ever since I was young. My parents, especially, have had the greatest influence on my desire to create positive impacts on people around me. They have nurtured me with values of compassion and charity through pursuing their own passions of service, bringing my sister and me on local and international trips to visit underprivileged communities, and executing their daily acts of kindness and selflessness. Everyday, with a continuously strengthening sense of awareness of those around me, I have become increasingly inspired to use my opportune resources to pursue my own acts of goodwill. As a Head of the Hotchkiss Special Olympics Club, a Captain of the Girls Varsity Swim Team, and an honors photography student, I strive to use my passions to make the world a better place.

Quisha's passion and commitment to enriching the lives of Special Olympics athletes through her talent is humbling.
